SEN Help Crest

Every Child Deserves
the Right Support.

If you’re here, you’re probably exhausted. You’ve been told your child “doesn’t qualify.” You’ve waited months for an assessment that should have taken weeks. You’ve sat in meetings where the school smiled and promised support that never appeared in writing.

We know. Because we’ve been in that chair.

Why We Built SEN Help

SEN Help was founded by Bupe Lumbeta, a father of children with Special Educational Needs who spent years fighting for the support his children were legally entitled to.

The problem wasn’t a lack of good professionals. Independent advocates, Educational Psychologists, and specialist therapists exist across the country, and they’re exceptional at what they do. The problem was finding them. Google returned expensive solicitors and dead charity links. Facebook groups were full of advice but nothing searchable. Word of mouth depended on knowing the right people at the right time.

So we built the directory we wished had existed from the start. A single place where parents can find verified, independent SEN professionals, and where those professionals can connect with the families who need them most.

What Makes SEN Help Different

Every professional listed on SEN Help has been through our verification process before their profile goes live. This isn’t a directory where anyone can list themselves and say what they want.

Before appearing on the platform, every professional must:

  • Submit their HCPC or SRA registration number for manual verification against the official regulatory register
  • Legally declare that they hold valid Professional Indemnity Insurance and an Enhanced DBS check
  • Agree to our professional standards: because the families using this directory are trusting us to point them in the right direction

If a professional doesn’t meet these standards, they don’t appear. If they’re listed and we receive evidence of misconduct, they’re removed. No exceptions, no second chances. The trust of the parents who use this platform is not something we negotiate on.

For Parents

You don’t need to understand the law to protect your child. You need someone who does.

Whether your council has refused an EHCP assessment, your child is facing an ISP downgrade, or you have a Tribunal date and no idea where to start, the right professional can change the outcome. SEN Help exists to make sure you can find that person quickly, confidently, and without gambling on an unverified recommendation from a stranger online.

Finding an expert through SEN Help is free. Always.

For Professionals

If you’re an independent SEN advocate, Educational Psychologist, speech and language therapist, or occupational therapist, you already know the demand is there. Parents are actively searching for someone with your skills.

SEN Help puts you in front of families who are ready to instruct, not people browsing casually, but parents with an urgent, specific need in your Local Authority area. Every lead is real, verified, and routed directly to your inbox.

If you believe every child deserves proper support and you want to be part of a platform that holds itself to the same professional standards you do, we’d like you to join us.

The Reality Check

SEN Help is an independent directory service, not a law firm. We don’t provide legal advice, manage cases, or guarantee outcomes. What we do is connect you with verified professionals who have the expertise to fight your corner. We recommend always requesting an initial consultation and reviewing a professional’s terms before instructing them.

Your child’s rights are worth fighting for.
